An Open Letter to Hon. Nuhu Goro Shadalafiya

Dear Hon,
It is with great concern and pain in my heart that i write you this open letter, as a concerned citizen of Kagarko local government i deem it necessary to remind you of your responsibilities as our representative since it is obvious that you have decided to reduce yourself to a mere political stooge to the state governor.

Legislatures all over the globe are meant to checkmate the excesses of the executive, make, amend and repel laws and ensure that the electorates are well represented. These are the key functions i and hundreds of thousand citizens of Kagarko local government had in mind when we gave you our mandates, we saw in you special qualities which we thought were going to be put into full use without fear or favour to give us the representation Hon Peter Adada  and the PDP denied us for many years.

Fast forward to today you have  adopted to be a robber stamped legislator, a puppet and an errant boy to the state governor.
Initially i thought it was  wise for  me to keep mute and overlook some of your actions and inactions but it is obvious that will only amount to an act of laxity,stupidity and cowardice on my part,  the masses who read most of my write ups criticizing Hon Adada then will also feel disappointed in me.

Sir, it is no longer news that since you received our mandate to Lugard house, there has been nothing to write home about instead all we see so far from your end are abuse of  legislative powers, corruption and carelessness. 
As the spoke man of the state house of Assembly it is expected of you to inform not just your constituency but the entire state of the activities of the house but the reverse has always been the case as you have always been silent when sensitive issues and questions regarding the activities of the House  are being asked by the electorates.
Few weeks ago there were news on the airwaves of how the state executive bought vehicles for some special house members as bribe to help facilitate the passage of the infamous anti religious bill into law, it was even alleged that you were the one that presented the bill before the house. 
It is obvious that you have aligned yourself with unscrupulous lawmakers who are either afraid of the governor or do not know their functions and powers of legislation, this is the sole reason why there has never been a 'nay' in any of your session in the house since the current Assembly was inaugurated. Bills from the executive are hastily passed even when such bills are to the detriment of the electorates.

Aside from your failure to checkmate and speak out against the excesses of the governor, you have also displayed lackadaisical attitudes towards your constituency, an example of such was what transpired some months ago during KASTELA recruitment, i was reliably informed  that out of the over a hundred slots allocated to Kagarko local government  only a little above 30 indigenes of Kagarko get to the final face of the recruitment exercise with only 26 securing the job while the rest went to non indigenes from both within and outside Kaduna state, this is an injustice to the good people of Kagarko who will never get such opportunities from other states,  I am sure you kept mute because you were  part of the robber stamped legislature that illegally passed the bill abolishing indigenship in Kaduna state into law.

Sir i am very disappointed with the way and manner you have represented Kagarko so far and if things are not changed for the better, i will personally campaign and mobilize the electorates to pen down their signatures for your immediate recall.
