Judith Caleb's Experience - Five dealbreakers

1. You can’t hold a good conversation – If the only thing you talk about is yourself and other people, then I’m sorry it’s not going to work out with me (unless you’re barley Cooper, I could give a consideration)lol!. The thing is, most guys I met are way too focused on looking ‘cool’  and they completely forget the fact that I’m bored. I don’t want to know how you have a Phd in engineering, or how your dad is the richest man in Nigeria. I’ve heard enough crap to last me a lifetime, I don’t need any of yours. How hard can it be to just switch off that ‘impress a girl’ button, talk about ‘normal’ things and actually impress a girl? If a man with intelligence is not sexy, then I don’t know what is.
2. You’re choking me – Let me say this clearly, I can’t be there for you 24/7. I can’t give up my 10-minute break to call you and say I’m having a break and I’m going to this place and this is what happened 5 minutes ago and then answer your call again in 5 minutes. You see, I got more things to do than chat/call you every second just to say who I’m with at this very second and where I am. I know you’re ‘concerned’ but give me some time for myself where I can do anything I can without having to remember to reply to your ‘What are you doing’ text every 5 minutes.
3. You’re rude to everyone but me – It’s one thing to hold the door for me and another to shout at the man who parked in your spot.  If you can’t even say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ to random people that show kindness then I’m sorry, you can’t expect me to stay.
4. You dont watch movies/animes – I didn’t want to put this in because I didn’t want to stereotype (and I’m really not doing so) but it had to be done. If you don't like movies wahala go dey o...then I’m sincerely sorry, this thing between us couldn’t happen. I judge people by the kind of movies they watch, not because the movies they watch  tells about who they are but because the movies  they watch  speaks their mind.
5. You’re not funny – You’re smart, charming, really kind and you even love movies, why is there something missing? I mean, you’re perfect! No really, you are! Oh wait, you can’t make me laugh. People, if there’s one thing I want in a man that is for him to make me laugh at all the things I never thought I could and laugh at the things we wish we could (like that 2-century ago breakup). He could be a jerk or a metal-head or even an obsessive stalker, but if he knows the way into my funny bones, he surely gets it. Because, contradicting to that statement I made, nothing is sexier than a man with a sense of humor.

Judith Caleb's Experience - The Simple Life

Wake up at whatever time you want (6am, 11am or even 1pm).  Think of the future. Drink tea or buy kosai and kunu at the nearby junction, waina or moi moi whichever you want.take a hot shower.

Eat rice and beans with stew or tuwo with any local soup. Eat until you’re satisfied. Don’t be too stressed out when you can’t finish your meal, you can save it for later.

Watch a movie or play FIFA with the boys.  reading a book is optional.

Call a friend, family or a lover. Listen to their stories. Listen to how their day is going. Listen to their sighs. Tell them how you are, if they ask. Tell them whatever you want to. Tell them how you feel and hang up.

Bring out the best in people. Tell her how good she looks in that blue skirt. Compliment his photo on Instagram with an emoji or LOL. Pick out your favorite memory and share with her. Laugh at his weird jokes. Smile with your eyes. Walk away when they’re not treating you how you want to, cos life is too short.

Let people see your emotions. Don’t hide them all away and bottle it up for personal security. Cry when you want to. Laugh when you should. Shout when you’re frustrated. Chew on your nails when you’re nervous.

Take the bus home. Watch how busy the city get in the evenings. Walk out and go home. Eat Food, Shower and brush your teeth. Lay in bed. Think until you’re not thinking anymore. Rest.
Remember, Growing Up suck!

Judith Calebs Experience - hmmmm!

Life has a funny way of bringing all the things that you could ever want and all the things you prayed to never have. I graduated university in 2014, done with NYSC, fulfilled the dreams of my parent. And now, I am left with the responsibility to become a full functioning adult. I am expected to find a job that will both pursue my life-long dream, find a husband that will love me and cherish my annoying ass... Lol!

If I knew all these were waiting for me, " I for no grow  o" (stay a kid for as long as I could!) Cos growing up sucks...

But then again, maybe being an adult isn’t so bad. I mean, I am now fully responsible with my time. I can spend ALL DAY watching " mind your language lol! Or I can continue working hard right now, and hopefully retire earlier than 50 years old. What a delight!

And so, this is me. An Arewa blogger,  graduate with no government job... Taking my blog to the next level....

END...

2016 in WORDS - Judith Calebs Experience

As I lay on my bed reminiscing  about my 2016 and trying to think of what to write, I can't help but be grateful for God's love, grace and faithfulness. A lot happened last year (2016).

Personal life
- I lost some friends
- made new ones
- finally let go and let God
- cut my hair ( going natural)

On blogging
-  consistency is everything
- comparison steals joy - honestly, sometimes I go check some blogs and feel a pang of jealousy but this taught me that it is OK to have these toxic thoughts ( I am only human) and its would becomes a problem when I dwell on it
- won best entertainment blog 2016 at Kaduna entertainment awards (KEA)
 - started JC on the street ( interviewing random people on the street of Kaduna)Read my JC on the street stories HERE
- Found myself
- I experienced being "broke" on another level... It was crazy
- I learnt a lot about my passions/potentials like ( farming) lol!
I impressed myself a lot with the level of maturity i handled and tackled some life issues.

On life
-  there is one happiness in life, to love and be loved
- life is simple, but we insist on complicating things
- people will always come at you with their own opinions of what you should be like or what you should do. Click to Read More

That's all for 2016!
Oh and guys! I'll really love to connect more with you all this new year. Please can you introduce yourself here...

Thank you for all the support and love in 2016! I'm hoping to cash out in 2017 200,000 page views (and more) getting there soon lol!

Judith Caleb gets naked about the blogging life.. !

Compliments of the season... How una dey? It's been a very long time since I've posted anything about me, Yes! ME! Judith caleb, so today I'm going to write about my experiences with blogging. I am still learning and yet to have it all figured out... But "I will get there"- yes! I will get there!!! *sips kunun aiya* You see, I am all about connecting arewa- I give information and happenings around Kaduna, Northern Nigeria and Nigeria as a whole. I don't just want this place to be all about news, that would suck... i know!
Blogging takes up a lot of my time and energy at least 10 hours of my day everyday. I try to be consistent, focus and keep building my brand.
There are a lot of mean people however, who just want to frustrate and make me feel like I'm just wasting my time, reason being that; blogging in Northern Nigeria is not like blogging in Lagos. Some insult my work, and  personal life. As a certain songwriter said "Dare to suck" I will keep trying to improve my blog and work through  all the negativity.
But then again, there are people who genuinely love what I do and I sincerely appreciate....
Just like everybody, I have goals and face challenges.
One of my biggest challenge is; people do not leave comments on my blog. I see a lot of visitors ( readers) who just read my posts and leave! no comments!!!
So... let's talk! Make we reason!!! Let's get a bottle of coke or tea... (i am already on my 2nd cup of kunun aiya by the way). Let's talk about how you can help "my ministry move to the permanent site" lol!
I really wish people would comment, get feedback so I know how to improve the blog... So please ehn, i take God beg una!!! My Kaduna people, don't just read this, support by leaving a comment.... Thank You!    I promise to write more personal stuff... yes! I said it!!! Muaah from the other side! *not the other room- just the other side*
