I am 15 years old. I Just came to buy fuel & soap and ride my bike home.

JC* Are you in school? 

No!  I just finished secondary school. 

Me? Young? Well!  I get that alot but I'm sure there are more like me. I  really hope I get the admission into KASU. At least they won't be sending me so much from home haha.

Having a child at an early age is really difficult because all your plans change and you have to adjust to whole thing. Right now I'm just going to buy some puff puff for me and my child.. I'm not in school. I'm not working. I don't want to continue staying at home - I want to also contribute to supporting my family. I really, wish I could get a job soon.

Arsenal is my favorite club. I love their technique and the mindset of the coach, Arsene Wenger. He doesn't believe in big names ( just like me). Everyone can be a star. The child your are looking down on today can become a star tomorrow so why not train a child to be great tomorrow instead of stealing players that are already made from other clubs.

Football is not only about money but passion and beauty of the game - and that is what I coach my team players to always remember.  I am not just a coach, I'm a clergyman so it's not just about coaching and teaching how to succeed in playing football - hopefully with my contribution my players will succeed in life also. If I can create stars both on and off the pitch, then all the days we have spent training together would be worth it.

I used to play football professionally until an injury affected my career. Football is part of me. It's like I was born into football. Any time I play it makes me so happy. The game has allowed me to meet different people everyday and some of them have become my good friends.The love I have for football had brought me to the field. Why would I stay at home and be idle when I know I can come here and play football and be happy?

My favorite genre of music is R&B, though I listen to a bit of everything. Was just jamming one afro song on my way to church.....  I almost didn't see you. This bag? Whether I'm going to church  or in school (university) where I'm studying economics, my bag is  always with me. I keep my laptop and books in it.. so I can stay mobile and get all my stuff any time. Everything goes better with music. Let me rush off. I'm late for church.

Do you know I used to coach Efe Ambrose who plays for the national team? He was my boy. I've been coaching for 28 years now. If you think about it I've now spent over half of my life coaching. Football is like my life and passion. In this time I've trained many great, talented players who now play in clubs on various continents. Now whenever I turn on the TV I can watch my players and I'm proud that I was part of the reason they are where they are today. Can you imagine how that feels?  It's a wonderful feeling...

My name is Vincent. I started this business two days after the government stopped motorcycle

in Kaduna. I was the first person here to drive keke. Keke was N300,00 to N400,000 but now, its almost N700,000. The more I make money, the more I spend it. It really difficult to save. I mean one tyre of keke was N3,500 now its N13,000 and no passengers. I am just coming back from Narayi. I came back empty. I have a wife and children and we eat and pay rent from this...

I am 8yrs old. I love music and reading story books. I've been playing Violin for a year now. carrying the Violin was hard at first, I got tired easily and didn't like it.. But now I love playing. I can play twinkle twinkle little star from beginning to the end without any mistake. My music teacher is nice. He taught me everything I know. My parent are happy.  I want to be very good. I want to be a MUSICIAN

I am from Kano state. I have been doing this business for 10years now. I also sell onions, tomatoes and pepper but when is potatoes season I leave everything and focus on potatoes. Life hasn't been easy but Allah has been good to me and my family. We have food a house and clothes to wear.

My name is John pikin. I am a bus conductor. I work from kasuwa to sabo and Narayi ....  I am trying to save money so I can start a good business and marry a beautiful wife....

JC* The touching story of a beggar and a former security guard that served,retired and lived his entire life in kaduna....

Baba  is from Borno state, but has lived and served his entire life in kaduna state, 

Baba* I worked as a security guard for 25yrs. From GGSS maimuna Gwarzo, to St Augustine catholic church tudun wada kaduna and finally retired as a security guard at nuhu Bamalli polytechnic zaria, I retired due to age, my body was worn out and weak, and have nothing to offer to the job anymore. 

JC*  how much do you make as a beggar? 

Baba*  400 to 500naira daily..

JC* wow!  thats less than a dollar...

Baba* I am married with 7 children. I  receive a pension of 7,000 naira monthly from El-rufai, the governor of kaduna state. Gov. El- Rufai pays me every month and he doesn't fail... 

JC* Do you come  to the market with any of your kids? 

Baba*  No!  I always find my way all by himself. 

JC*  He has all sorts of bruises on his legs and he walks with a staff, so I asked him, How he got all these bruises?   

Baba*  It was because of  " bathing too much combined with old age, *laughs* 

JC* Baba! Do you  like and enjoy kaduna? 

Baba* YES! I love  kaduna, I collect pension here *laughs* 

I have  been in Kaduna since  sir Ahmadu Bello was made premier, in 1954 when the sardauna was made premier of the northern protectorate...

JC* wow!  thats quite long time, that was 63years ago o.. Chai!

my husband worked for a company, they were incharge of sale and distribution of products consumers, the employees are given a target, a specific amount of money to raise through the sales of these products,theres a deadline to the returns of the money. on a particular day, he was called into the office by the boss (the general manager). A specific amount of money was said to be missing, after investigations, it was observed that it was from my husband team, after hours of discussion, the matter was handed over to the authorities, the police got involved, he ended up spending the night in a cell, it was all like a dream, to worsen matters, due to the incompetence and the mindless and caresless attitude of the judiciary and the police all together, he spent 3months in the cell, the money had to be paid before he was released they said, it was a very difficult period for my family, we had to resolve into closing down our shop and selling the few plots of lands. Now my husband is without a job, lifes all of a sudden turned so difficult for my family...

I started this business when I was just 10years old. I worked for an Alhaji before owing my own shop. I travel to Kano to buy my goods
JC* what are your challengings? 
I thank Allah for my Life, despite the recession. My biggest challenge is transporting the items, as you can see it " Fadi - ka- mutu" *laughs* most times, it breaks and I loss a lot of money. They are very fragile, any little mistake leads to loss....

10 years in this business and I can honestly say.. Its a good business. I have no regret because I make a lot of money.  I am married to a beautiful wife who takes good care of me *smiles* we are happy..
