Former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon today paid a visit to former President Shehu Shagari at his residence in Sokoto. The state governor, Aminu Tambuwal and the Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah were present during the visit. Issues of National interest were discussed by the past leaders.
