Rainstorm destroys over 40 buildings, renders 200 people homeless in Kebbi state

Sunday night rainstorm has destroyed over 40 houses, healthcare centres and rendered 200 people homeless in were destroyed in in Makera village, Maiyama Local Government Area of KebbiState.
The Director of Social Development in the area, Salihu Mohammed, who confirmed the incident on Monday, May 1, in Birnin Kebbi, said that the storm occurred late at night. Many people including primary and secondary schools pupils, whose schools were destroyed have been forced to seek refuge elsewhere.”While no life was lost, residents of the affected households lost property, food stuff and other valuables to the storm” said Mr Mohammed.
