Your Security Is Guaranteed In Sokoto, Sultan Tells NYSC Members

Aside the fact that the Sokoto remained one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria, the Sultan of Sokoto and President General, Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, (NSCIA) Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar 111 have assured corps members serving in the state of absolute security.
Sultan who insisted that, the National Youth Service Scheme (NYSC) remained a very unique avenue for national integration, advised corps members to be good ambassadors of their respective families, institutions and religion.
Speaking when the State Coordinator of NYSC, Alhaji Musa Abubakar alongside his staff and members of the 2016 Batch B Stream 2 Corps members paid him a courtesy visit, added that, they should establish cordial relationship with their host communities.
While admonishing corps members to respect both the religion and culture the people, Sultan equally tasked Corps members to genuinely key into the skill acquisition programmes for future self reliance.
Said Sultan, “While welcoming, i am guaranteeing your security,while serving in the state.
”You should respect the religion and culture of their host community as this will smoothen your stay.
”You establish cordial relationship with the host communities,as well as focus attention on the skills acquisition training given to you on and post camp.
”This is to enable you to become self reliant and promote economic growth of the nation.”
Earlier, the State NYSC coordinator, Alhaji Musa Abubakar, divulged that they came seek both royal blessings and prayers from the Sultan.
Musa Abubakar further applauded Sultan’s unrelenting effort towards religious harmony and sustainable peace in the state.
The State Coordinator further maintained that they will continue to appreciate Sultan’s sustained support for the NYSC scheme.
He also assured Sultan of their resolve and commitment of the corps members to diligently serve the state and country at large.
