Hello Judith. I'm from kano an ABU student 300L. My friend is a big fan of your blog. I am a Muslim nd I luv Allah nd obey his teaching. I can never leave my religion becos of a girl. I have been dating this Christian girl Since 100L. Everything was moving fine till she starting saying I should convert to Christianity. I have christian friends n I respect their beliefs. I wish she can respect me and my religion too. I am the man, if anyone is suppose to convert, I think it should be her but I have never for once ask her to. Pls How can I make her understand that Love is all that matters?......

Dear poster, in our today's world/Nigeria, the issue of religion is very sensitive. I am glad that you have respect for her religion. She should like wise. I am sure she is only asking you to convert because she wants a future with you, and maybe her parents will not agree to her marrying a Muslim. I have seen many situations wer couples of different faiths marry and are still married, practicing their different religion and it works for them. Try and make her see reasons with you, communication is key.
