The stories trailing President Muhammadu Buhari's ongoing 'vacation' abroad are so strong that the words "Is Buhari Dead?" has become the most searched phrase in Nigeria's internet space.
But what led to this confusion?
OluFamous.Com reports that the manner in which Mr President hurriedly jetted out of Nigeria, just hours after a national tragedy in Rann, Borno State, where a military jet mistakenly bombed and killed many Nigerians, is the reason for the confusion about his health.
How come vacation became so urgent that he could not visit Borno to see the Rann victims ? Now people are having a field day online, with all kinds of speculations about his health.
Anyway, the Presidency has insisted that President Buhari is not receiving treatment in any London hospital, stressing that he is not ill and only in London on vacation.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, stated this on multiple platforms
"President Buhari is in London on vacation. He is not in hospital and he is not ill... If anybody has fed something else into the rumour mill that is just what it is - rumour,” Adesina said.
I think its time this Government and Buhari lead administration sits up and do the right thing. We are tired of this jokes and drama. The president or someone in government should address Nigerians on this matter as this is becoming very embarrassing. newshandle.com
