A terrorist attack on a gay nightclub in Orlando has resulted in the death of about 50 people, Independent has reported.
About 50 people were killed at the nightclub while 53 others sustained injury
The report further said about 53 others were injured in the attack carried out at Pulse nightclub and described as the deadliest mass shooting in the history of the United States.
Florida authorities have declared a state of emergency, just as Buddy Dyer, Orlando’s mayor, announced the casualties.
“We are dealing with something we never imagined.
“Because of the scale I have called Governor Scott to request a state of emergency and we are issuing a state of emergency in the city,” Dryer said.
