Shocking: Security agents discover powerful Boko Haram charm used in ‘seizing’ people

– Security agent says the group has been using the spiritual book to deceive people
– One such deception was that it could make the people invincible
A book used by Boko Haram insurgents to make people join their group has been discovered by Nigerian officials.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the discovery made by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSDC), who informed that the ‘spiritual book’ may have been used by Boko Haram to indoctrinate their victims.
Ibrahim Abdullahi, the commandant of the NSCDC who made this disclosure in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital during an interview, stated that the book was written in Arabic, and was discovered during an operation by his men at an abandoned house in Dikwa local government area of the state.

He said: “It is sad that many innocent souls had been dragged into submitting to Boko Haram through spiritual indoctrination.
“The book, named ‘Guduma’, was used by the insurgents as a powerful charm to indoctrinate followers into submitting to the dictates of leaders of the sect.
“Our findings revealed that the book was also used in deceiving victims and members of the sect into believing that it could make them invisible and also offer protection against bullet shots and bombs.
“The spiritual book was abandoned by ‘Boko Haram’ after the takeover of Dikwa from the insurgents, two years ago.”
