PDP chieftain commends FG cease-fire in Niger Delta region

A political stalwart and PDP Chieftain in Delta State, Olorogun Okwagbe has hailed the two-week ceasefire by the Federal Government on militants in the Niger Delta region, as he quickly urged the Niger Delta Avengers to use the opportunity to table their grievances.
In a press statement, Chief Okwagbe commended the Federal Government for calling the ceasefire, as he urged the militants to embrace dialogue to address their grievances and fashion out a way forward for the benefit of all interests.
He added said that the people had suffered termendously and one could not deny the fact that there are lots of issues on ground about the injustice that the people of the region had suffered.
He urged the Federal Government to match word with actions by calling on all stakeholders, militants and regional leaders to a round table to find the way forward.
Okwagbe stressed that Federal Government should not politicize the talks, but invest on the intelligence arm of the nation’s security network to overcome the current security challenges in the Niger Delta and the country in general.
