When I head of the murder of an ASP in Fadan Karshi this Tuesday, June 21 2016, my mind immediately went to ASP Elisha Sambe. Sometimes ago, when I and my team paid a courtesy call on the victims of Sanga massacres, retired ASP Elisha Sambe narrated to me how his wife and children were murdered by Fulani herdsmen as they attacked his community. He told me of how he told his beloved wife not to venture outside when they heard the gunshots and how his wife fearfully took to her heels and met her death. He spoke of how he heard his wife screamed as the last shot got her and how his children were massacred too. After listening to him, I asked what the government had done so far to alleviate their pains, loses and anguish. He replied in the negative. I began to wonder the Apathy of government towards the southern KADUNA victims of fulani unending assaults. At that time, the European Union gave about 4.5 million pounds to the Plateau and Kaduna state governments over the continual massacres of folk in both states. Governor El-Rufai devoted much of his time then in buying computer microchips for fulani cows for easy tracking as well as deploying of federal forces against cattle rustlers.
How much of that money was used to assuage the suffering of southern Kaduna people who were most hit by the governor's kinsmen massacres? The governor finds it expedient to expend resources on his aggressive fulani kinsmen while allowing the victims of his kinsmen satanic aggression to wallow in wants under palpable fear of attacks coupled with physical and psychological pressure. This is how to make Kaduna great again. In the governor's reign of terror, he justified the massacres of the southern Kaduna people on the premises of reprisal attacks when he granted Channels TV an interview on the 6 April 2016. These 'reprisal attacks' has continued to this day with the murder of this ASP, as well as the murder of Mr Bala Madaki, District Head of Fadan Karshi earlier on Sunday 1 May 2016.
For those in the know, governor El-Rufai, during the campaigns at a town hall interactive session in Kafanchan, pledged that nobody will kill another and go Scot free. In the interview he granted Channels TV on 6 April 2015, he boasted that killings have ceased in southern Kaduna after justifying the massacres of Southern Kaduna people in Attakad, Sanga, Bondong and etc on fulani reprisal attack in tandem with his fulani loan repayment philosophy.
How could the governor boast of an end to fulani hostilities when fulanis are still on rampage kidnapping and raping Adara women (both married and singles, including underage) as they assault and murder men too in Kajuru, Kasuwan Magani and etc while the governor's security agencies continue to arrest able bodied Adara youths?
The governor boasted of an end to hostilities, yet he can not account for the murder of Mrs Mary Godwin who was killed in Kagal Zangon Kataf Local Goverment Area on 15 December 2015. Even his spokesman, Samaila Aruwan, lost an uncle to the governor's kinsmen that same year.
For the first time in many years, mass kidnappings and silent killings are being carried out even in township. We have heard of how persons were strangled with robes while in their cars around Christian dominated Chikun local government area. The governor is yet to account for the stabbing of Mr. Emmanuel Francis, who, according to Francis, was stabbed for not observing the Muslim Ramadan on Tuesday 7 June 2016 while he was eating at his shop; the murder of Francis working with Fax Oil, whose corpse was discovered in the company's tank on Thursday 9 June 2016; the murder of Francis Bello Obemeasor, working with Royal Cross Hotel Kakuri, who was murdered on March 19th, 2016; the murder of Shadrack, who was murdered by Muslim youth in Barkan Lahu on Sunday 12 June 2016 as he was returning from a show where he featured as DJ.
A most embarrassing one is how the governor would not arrest the Muslim murderer of a Christian husband as a result of rivalry over the Christian's wife in Ungwan Yero Malali, but was quick to request that Malali Christian residents should keep the peace. This happened around late April 2016. How can a Muslim lover of a married woman murder the husband and be allowed to go scot free if the governor is for all? And when the people expressed their displeasure over the governor's insensitivity, six of them were subsequently killed by Muslim youths from the community of the aggressor. To this day, we haven't heard of any prosecution but we have heard of how a Christian journalist, Jacob Dickson, was arrested on 28 of April 2016 and detained for seven days for reporting the story. This is not to mention the kidnappings and killings of even a pastor and others earlier in March 2016.
At this point I will join the Comrade Senator to ask the governor what his slogan truly mean - is it Kaduna Will be Great Again or Kaduna Will Be Grave Again? If it is the later, then I will also advise the governor to use the waters of River Kaduna and build the Kaduna of his dream - and if it's blood he needs, to use the blood of the many crocodiles in River Kaduna. If Kaduna must be grave again, it should either be the grave of those crocodiles as advised by Senator Shehu Sani or the grave of the governor himself; but certainly not the grave of the indigenous people of Kaduna State when the governor swore to uphold the constitution and serve the people. And serving the people means ensuring their primary rights - the right to life.
From the above, the governor has woefully failed in his primary assignment. And it is such colossal failure, such ethnic chauvinist, such religious bigot, such governor who has lost his humanity, such governor who is a confused jumble of conflicting ideologies, as Dr. John Danfulani will say; that some APC imberciles from Southern Kaduna will proudly associate with and even have the effrontery to share pictures of on the social media with coinages like "I and my governor". What governor are those embarrassing and infantile wannabes talking about? Such childish mentality and misplaced priority from charlatans and clowns who consider it a great privilege and a sort of trophy to be associated with an error in power as governor El-Rufai is why these killings may continue. And if the governor were a human being, he would have resigned by now for such colossal failure as this is not how to make Kaduna Great Again.
"We already have Grazing Reserve Bill in the 19 Northern States. It was Passed and inacted in 1965 by the Northern Regional Government. We have 14 such Grazing Reserves in Kaduna State and we Shall resuscitate them" ................Gov. Nasir Ahmed Elrufai
The first time, it was a 1984 religious bill brought to bear on us. Now, it is a 1965 Grazing Reserve Bill that needs resuscitation. Tomorrow, it may be an 1809 Caliphate Edict that would be resurrected. Whatever it is, we still say NO and curse these bills deep down the darkest pit of hell.
Are you surprised? The erudite Senator Shehu Sani referred to Governor Nasir El-Rufai as a Coward whose 'blokos' is still PDP and I am forced to agree with the Senator.
When El-Rufai was FCT minister under PDP, he hid behind Obasanjo to commit multiple atrocities against persons and organisations, which include confiscation of properties of others and sharing it to his friends and family. When Obasanjo was out of power, there was nowhere to hide, so he went on a self-imposed exile and hid behind international boundaries to continue to launch his criticisms at the Yar'adua government, then the Jonathan government and now, he is back in power.
As Governor of Kaduna State, he tried to hide behind Buhari by introducing a 1984 religious bill, given that Buhari was military head of state in 1984.
Now, he is hiding behind Sir Ahmadu Bello to claim that the Grazing Reserve Bill was passed in 1965 by the then Sir Ahmadu Bello Northern Regional Government.
Perhaps tomorrow, he will hide behind Othman Danfodio, to resuscitate an 1809 caliphate edict. He may even travel far back to when Queen Amina held sway to resurrect any of the queen's edict. I will not be surprised if he takes us to as far back as when Bayajjida travelled down from Baghdad and killed the snake near the well in Daura. After all, Buhari is from Daura and any culture from off that period will appeal to the Buharimaniacs. And they will clap for El-Rufai and El-Rufai will feel loved and relevant. Even Mr. President has to revisit his War Against Indiscipline (WAI). It beats me how people bereaved of ideas in this new age, that they had to resort to archaic edicts and decrees before they could govern, will still call themselves progressives. Where is the progress when you can't let go of the past? These APC government at both my state and federal levels, should have called themselves ARC government - yes ARC (All Retrogressive Congress). This is because they are retrogressive and not progressive forces.
The aspirations of the peoples of Southern Kaduna doesn't hold any meaning nor sympathy with the religious bigot and ethnic chauvinist. Afterall, he is the governor - he can do and undo. Even Shehu Sani, Dr. Hakeem Baba Ahmed, Isa Ashiru Kudan, etc are mare ants he could easily crush. Let me say it again for all to hear - Grazing Reserve in Southern Kaduna is the dumbest idea orchestrated to satisfy the demands of the Islamic Development Bank that will fail and woefully too, regardless of what terrorism masterminded against the Southern Kaduna People, especially in Adara Land where the lands are programmed to be confiscated. The rape of our daughters, sisters and mothers; as well as the murder of our sons, brothers and fathers by the same El-Rufai`s fulanis kinsmen is perfected in order to cower them into complete submission as their lands are being confiscated and handed over to fulani herdsmen. We are watching you and your satanic plans Mallam El-Rufai
With a first class governor, professors and doctors-filled state cabinet, it is a big disgrace that Kaduna will be great again in a negatively backward thinking instead of a positively forward thinking.
