Kaduna Will Be Great Again - 283

As a new chapter to terrorism opens with the murder of Emmanuel Francis for not fasting with the Muslims, in Kakuri Chikun Local Goverment area of Kaduna State, somewhere around 2.30pm on Tuesday 7th June 2016; six women were kidnapped with a man shot dead in the neighbouring Kajuru Local Goverment Area, Afogo District, at about twelve hours earlier.
This is not mentioning the kidnapping of seven women and two men a fortnight ago in Tantatu village of the same Kajuru Local Goverment Area. As at last month, Kalla, another village in Kajuru Local Government Area, came under attack, leaving many men injured and many more young girls abducted. Dangere and Kajuru station, all under the same local government area were also continually terrorised.

Some of these women were released on ransom after being sexually molested by their abductors.

This kind of terrorism was perfected against the Lere People much earlier and now almost all the villages in Kajuru have been sacked by these rapists, kidnappers and murderers. 

All these are happening after El-Rufai pledged an end to kidnapping. Ironically, gallant Adara youth were continually arrested. Around 24th of May 2016, some more were arrested on allegations of kidnapping, cattle rustling etc from Kachia, Kajuru and Kasuwan Magani by the El-Rufai police. After their arrest, El-Rufai's fulani kinsmen freely enter towns and villages in Adaraland to maim, rape, injure and kill. The people are living in palpable fear of what can happen. You will recall that around 15th of April, almost 456 persons were paraded by the police as suspected kidnappers owing to the kidnap of three pastors and the murder of one. The lot of these arrested persons were unjustly victimised while the real kidnappers continue to have a field day. That only pastors are rife for kidnapping under an anti-Christian governor speaks volume. That only Christian dominated local government Area like Kajuru could come under such terrorism while El-Rufai holds sway is instructive. Even the politics behind substituting Isah Dansallah with Sani Magaji as Interim Management Committee Chairman in Kajuru LGA calls for concern. Again, the rationale behind earmarking money for the repairs of the palace of the Muslim Sarkin Kajuru, while ignoring the Palace of the Christian Agwom Adara in Kachia, reveals the incurable bigotry of this governor. Even in Kajuru, the only Hausa Muslim ward there had never come under attack, but virtually all the Adara Christian wards had come under fulani terrorist attacks. Why the Hausas will not submit to the Agwom Adara in Adaraland but had to build their own Chiefdom in the heart of Adaraland while terrorising the natives with a governor that is giving priority to Hausa Muslim 'Sarki' over the Native Agwom Adara.

Conclusively, El-Rufai has failed and woefully too. In his interview with Channels on the 6th of April, he boasted that he has brought security to the rural areas. Mallam, does kidnapping your wife and daughter sound like security? How would you feel Mr. Governor, if your wife and daughter were kidnapped, raped and then released on ransom or even perhaps murdered? What security then are you talking about? Mr. Governor should simply resign since he cannot guarantee security, the basic reason upon which he was elected. How many more will El-Rufai's misgovernance victimised? El-Rufai resign now, you are a huge failure and a mighty compromise to the security of persons in the rural and urban areas put together.
