Gospel artist Bie, had an exclusive interview with JCB recently where she gave reasons for 

long absence on the music scene and future plans..read interview below; 

JC. Tell us about yourself

My name is Biola Fagbemi, I am from osun state and I reside in Kaduna

JC. Name two things you can't leave home without?

JC. Aside music what do you have a flair for?

My love for music and the desire to share positive message that can cause a deliberate change in people's lives 

JC. Reaction to the general notion that KD female artistes are lazy‎ and inconsistent in the music scene/industry.

Hahaha...if there was an association for lazy inconsistent female artists, I am certain that I will be the chairlady...lolzz...and yes, some of us are lazy and inconsistent but I know a few that are committed to their art...

For  some of us, it is a lack of true passion for the art, and other times it is a lack of support/recognition from the public... some female artist have been misinformed & even taken advantage of, all in an attempt to make a mark in the music scene, hence the inconsistency and lack of commitment. The truth is, female artists need to work harder for love,support and recognition...especially in rap music because it is dominated by very talented, fan loving male folks.

JC. Major constraint(s) ‎as a female artiste‎

Ehmmmm....Lack of self(time)management. As a female artist, the different phases ( and pressure) in life tends to mould you, change your perspective & also make you question alot of things...Creating a balance between work, family, school  and music is quite challenging.

JC. Reason(s) responsible for the for Bie's long absence on the music scene.‎

Like I said, it's a lack of balance...

JC. ‎Personal opinion on the attitude of the male folks (artistes) towards female artistes in these parts‎

I always over look it and never take it too personal no matter how much it hurts.

JC. Working on any new project? If yes...

Yes I am as a matter of fact, and for a while now I've been working, underground though, putting together some joints which is part of a project I intend to release in the nearest future‎.  However, I might be letting the cat out of the back real soon. So to all my fans who thought I was gone, hehe well watch out for the COME BACK. 

JC. Message to other female artistes out there and the male folks alike

To all artists, originality & authenticity is non negotiable...creatively putting a twist to a song and adding a bit of your personality (being yourself) is what I believe will make an artist different from the rest.

And to female artist, we must put in even more work in order to stand out.
