We Have Created 42,000 Jobs for Kaduna Youths – El-Rufai

Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, on Saturday, said  the All Progressives Congress in the state, through the private sector, has created 42,000 jobs for the people of the state.

El-Rufai said his administration had provided a conducive environment for private sector investments to thrive, leading to the creation of jobs.

The governor spoke during the International Youth Day 2017 titled, ‘Youth Building Peace.’

Also, he said his administration provided training for youths to increase their capacity for job creation and employment.

El-Rufai said, “In our efforts to build the capacity of our youths to contribute to our development, we have recruited 2,250 teachers, 2,550 KASTELEA marshals and 1,245 health workers who are all young persons. We recognise that government alone cannot engage all youths, hence we have provided a conducive environment for private sector investments that are already proving their capacity for job creation.

“Our young entrepreneurs can acquire much needed business skills and access to finance through the KADSTEP, the Kaduna Start-up Entrepreneurship Programme. Young people are being given training in construction and trades through the Kaduna Artisan Training Academy. We are also funding practical training for tradesmen in electrical technology and electronics through the Kaduna Electrical, Electronics and Energy Academy.”
