In an effort to provide portable drinking water across the State, the Jigawa State Executive Council has approved the sum of three hundred and eleven million, two hundred and sixty three thousand, three hundred and seven Naira only for the construction of 44 solar powered water schemes across the state.
The Commissioner of Information, Youth Sports and Culture, Alhaji Bala ibrahim, stated this shortly after the State Executive Council Meeting.
He explained that the contracts were awarded to various contractors after following due process, adding that it will be executed within eight weeks
