Exclusive Interview with - Yusuf Fist Dawaki

Gospel artiste Yusuf Fist Dawaki had an exclusive interview with JCB recently where he told us a lot about himself.. Read interview below:

JC - What is the one thing people would be surprised to know about you?

I can't think of anything.. and I thought really long and hard. 

JC. What distracts you when you are on stage?

FIST- Bad sound.

JC- Secret craving?

FIST- Fish. Not so secret though.

JC- Are you dating anyone, if yes.. Who? Is she in ywap?

FIST- Yes I am. (finally). Dasall!!

JC- Who is your Best Friend?

FIST- Hmmmm.... I got good company. Good close friends.

JC- Between skoolz and Spokesman who do you think is a better rapper?

FIST- Hahahahaahah.. you should have asked between them and me who is better. They are two rappers I respect and I admire their skill. Very unique

JC- According to you, who is the best Female artiste in Kaduna and why is that person your best

FIST- My best Female artist(s) have stopped rapping. Jenifer Jblaq (she stopped), hanatu flamez (she stopped). So I will not have a favorite before she stops again.

JC- So what is the biggest challenge you’ve faced working with other artistes here in Kaduna ?

FIST- I've not faced any significant challenge yet. Besides vontrap. Peer pressure. Lol

JC- Is there anything you don’t like happening in the Kaduna Music industry you want to point out.

FIST- Kaduna music industry is growing, and gaining ground. Eff-ell, DIA, leke benson, IBI,leo owan to name a few are doing good and pushing the limits. OAPs like Jakes and Morpheus be giving us exposure.  How did I forget EaziBobWizzy, he de push limits. We have good stuff here. Youth groups have also done a lot.  Our shows need a little,step up (actually it may be a big step up) But it's been commendable. We still have work to do though. All of us.

JC- Most artistes switched from doing what many people now brand as "Gospel music" to secular because according to them, its doesn't pay much and no fulfilment.. are you finding fulfillment in what you are doing in relation with serving God?

FIST- I try not to concern myself with that topic. Lol. Serving God is sha beyond music, aim is a well done someday.

JC- Any last word, something you want your Fans to know?

FIST- Your fans, that statement always cracks me. Life is too short to be living for yourself alone.
