Minister promises to support Sokoto State Govt to establish agro-allied companies

The Minister of State for Trade and Investment, Hajiya A’isha Abubakar, has promised to support Sokoto State Government to establish agro-allied industries.
The minister made the promise on Sunday in Bodinga town, headquarters of Bodinga LGA during a meeting of stakeholders in Sokoto South Senatorial District.
The district comprises of Kebbe, Tambuwal, Dange/Shuni, Tureta, Shagari, Yabo and Bodinga local government areas.
According to the minister, the support will help in the diversification of the economy, boost food security; reduce poverty and unemployment. “I urge the state government to continue with its programmes of women empowerment.
“My Ministry is ready to support the government in the efforts to establish processing factories in the state,” she added.
In his remarks, Gov. Aminu Tambuwal commended the people of the state for reposing confidence in the APC and for supporting the policies and programmes if his administration.
He appealed to the people to sustain their fervent prayers for Nigeria and President Muhammadu Buhari.
Also speaking, the state chairman of the party, Alhaji Suleiman Danmadamin-Isa described Tambuwal as “a humble, pious and patriotic leader.”
The vice chairman of the party in the zone, Abubakar Tambuwal, said the meeting was convened to brainstorm on the state of affairs of the party and review the performance of government at all levels.
