The Ministry of Budget & Planning in Collaboration with UNICEF is holding a town hall meeting on the consequences of malnutrition in Kaduna 

Muh'd Sani Dattijo  welcome address at the town hall meeting on consequences of malnutrition in Kaduna State; 

"It gives me great pleasure to be here to discuss a burning issue that is claiming the lives of our women and children in Kaduna. 

It is a known fact that without proper nutrition, the consequences are adverse and devastating

Malnutrition is also visible even in the corridors of power. In this case, we see it as over feeding or the intake of improper form of food 

For us in Kaduna State and as an agrarian State with ample agricultural produce & vast land for the production of varieties of food crops 

I belief that we do not have any excuse for our citizens to die of malnutrition in Kaduna

Unfortunately, malnutrition has claimed many lives in our Homes and Communities than we can think of in Kaduna State

ur traditional gardens in our backyards are fast disappearing from our various homes

Schools nowadays in a bid to patronise fast foods only end up with feeding young children with nothing but junk

Worried with the turn of events, we are not only providing necessary support to improve the nutritional status of our citizenry'
