The Commissioner of Police, Kaduna state Police Command, Agyole Abeh, has said that the command is facing challenges of staff saying if police from Plateau, Benue, and Nasarawa states were deployed to Kaduna, they will still not be able to cover the vast land that the state has.
Speaking while parading 27 suspects at the command over the weekend, the commissioner assured that the command will do everything possible to respond to distress and bring crime to its barest minimum in the state.
He noted that he has put in place measures to ensure that citizens of the state go about their duties and businesses unhindered.
He said that the nights are not also left out in efforts to rid the state of crime and ensure the safety of lives and properties by putting in place night patrols in strategic places and locations in the state.
“I took a look at the laws establishing the police force, we are also supposed to be mediators and I think we will be encouraging alternative dispute resolutions which we will spear head so that members of the communities will see the need to deradicalise.”
