The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) yesterday arrested three suspected drug pushers with 56.6Kg of hard substance at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano on their way to Malaysia.
The state command of NDLEA revealed that 2,822.913 Kg of cannabis, 118.1grams of cocaine and 34,971.418 Kg of psychotropic substance were seized in the last 11 months in Kano.
Addressing journalists yesterday in Kano, state commander, Hamza Umar, noted that the agency had placed the suspects and their sponsors on close track prior to their arrest, warning that NDLEA was repositioned to crack down on the drug pushes.
One of the suspects (name withheld) told journalists that he was promised 20,000 Pounds Sterling to courier the hard drug to Malaysia.
