Kaduna (Nigeria) – As part of its corporate social responsibility, the Kawo-Kaduna Rotary club has offered free medical care and distributed treated mosquito nets to some residents of Kaduna, North-west Nigeria.
Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Juliet Azubike while administering the medications to beneficiaries at the Kabala Doki Primary health care, said the essence of the program was to give service to the community and also get them to know their health status.
According to her, the programme tagged “Rotary family health day” would be carried out in six other PHCs within the state metropolis, adding that, the organization has a target of reaching not less than 500 persons at the end of the exercise.
“Rotary Family Health Day is to give service to the community. It is also aimed at getting the people be aware of their health status.
“We test them of hepatitis B and C, Malaria, HIV, Blood Sugar and Blood Pressure
