It appears there is no end in sight yet on the power tussle rocking the Assemblies of God Church in Saminaka, Lere Local Government Area (LGA) in particular and church at large. This morning members set ablaze the residential houses belonging to the rival pastors heading the two main branches of the church in Saminaka District –Jerusalem and Mbare. No life was however lost and no even reports of a clash.
The trouble which started around September last year between factions loyal to Rev. Paul Emeka and Rev. Chidi Okoroafor resulted in the closure of the two Assemblies of God Churches, a theological seminary and a church-owned hospitals and secondary school all located in Saminaka by the state government
