Fayose begins 3-day fasting and prayer for this unexpected reason

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has commenced a three-day fasting and prayer following the auto crash that claimed some students of the state university in Ado Ekiti on Monday, July 11.

This is as the death toll caused by the accident has reportedly increased to seven.
The governor further urged residents of the state to take part in the prayer for the repose of the souls of the dead and to avert future occurrence of the incident.

Daily Trust reports that the victims who are final-year students of engineering in the tertiary institution were returning from an outing when their Lexus car rammed into a bus belonging to a private school.
On a sympathy visit to the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital,(EKSUTH), Fayose said the prayer was further meant to forestall a recurrence of such terrible incident.

Two other victims of the accident are said to be battling for life at the hospital
