December 21, 2015 ↔ no comments Buhari sacks NNDC boss, appoints Ibim Seminitari as replacement

Bassey Dan Abia, has been sacked by President Muhammadu Buhari, as the managing director and chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

Abia, who was appointed in 2013 by former President Goodluck Jonathan, has been tainted with allegations of corrupt practices in the commission he oversees.

To take over from Abia, the President has appointed Ibim Seminitari, as acting head of the NDDC.

Seminitari was the former commissioner of information in Rivers state under the administration of former governor, Rotimi Amaechi.
